Day 1: Greetings & fittings / Distance travelled: less than 10km

Your hotel pick up will bring you to the E-Trike Tours headquarters. From there your E-Trike adventure begins, with one of our friendly guides ensuring you’re comfortable and confident. This is your chance to explore at your own pace, following the guide’s recommendations or forging your own path.

Avignon is a UNESCO-listed masterpiece, effortlessly blending history, culture, and a touch of French flair. Immerse yourself in the grandeur of the Palais des Papes, a testament to papal power, or stroll along the iconic Pont Saint-Bénézet, its arches stretching gracefully across the Rhône.

Today, your E-Trike adventure takes you across the Rhône River, leaving Avignon behind and entering the charming town of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. Here, history whispers from ancient structures like the imposing Fort Saint-André and the serene Chartreuse du Val de Bénédiction.

Next, follow the scenic route along the Sorgue River, where the picturesque countryside of Île de la Barthelasse unfolds before you. Lush vineyards, quaint villages, and the gentle murmur of the river will create an unforgettable tapestry of sights and sounds.

Finally, you arrive in Orange, a town steeped in Roman history. Day 3: Orange to Carpentras / Distance travelled: 30km

Today’s adventure unfolds amidst the rolling hills and endless vineyards of the Côtes du Rhône.

Gaze out at the breathtaking scenery, a patchwork of emerald green vineyards, ancient olive groves, and quaint villages nestled amongst the hills. Let the rhythm of your pedalling blend with the chirping of birds and the distant hum of cicadas.

Feel free to pause your journey at any time, if drawn in by a charming local winery. Step inside and embark on a delightful tasting experience, where the winemakers will share their passion and the unique characteristics of each varietal.

Your destination for the day is the picturesque village of Carpentras, nestled at the foot of the majestic Mont Ventoux. Explore the charming village centre, where time seems to slow down. Browse the local shops, perhaps finding the perfect souvenir or indulging in a delicious Provençal meal at a cosy cafe. As Day 3 winds down, soak in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of this quintessential French town.

Day 4: Carpentras to Gordes / Distance travelled: 35km

Today, your E-Trike adventure takes you on a new challenge, or not – you always get to choose your assistance levels on an E-trike. Together you and your E-Trike will be conquering the iconic Col de la Ligne, the gateway to the magnificent hilltop village of Gordes. The climb might seem daunting at first, with gentle slopes transitioning into steeper inclines. But fear not, your trusty E-Trike will be your loyal companion throughout. Lower gear ratios and the silent hum of the electric motor will propel you forward, each turn revealing glimpses of the breathtaking scenery that awaits you.

As you reach the summit, your efforts will be rewarded tenfold. A panorama unlike any other will unfold before your eyes: a mosaic of golden stone houses, nestled perfectly against the rolling hills of Provence. The iconic village of Gordes, a jewel perched high above the landscape, is breathtaking.

Explore the charming cobbled streets lined with artisan shops and cafes. Wander through the historic centre, marvelling at the architectural beauty of Gordes. From the imposing Château de Gordes to the quaint village square, every corner holds a story waiting to be discovered.

Day 5: Gordes to Avignon / Distance travelled: 45km

It’s your final day of riding, and today your E-Trike adventure heads back down hill towards Avignon, but not before exploring hidden gems along the way.

Your first stop is the delightful village of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, aptly nicknamed the “Venice of the Comtat.” Glide along picturesque canals, lined with charming shops overflowing with antiques and local treasures.

Next, continue your journey to Le Thor, another charming village nestled along the banks of the Sorgue River. Explore its quaint streets, discover hidden squares, and perhaps indulge in a delicious lunch at a local cafe.

As the day draws to a close, you conclude your trip back in Avignon. After you have returned your now beloved E-Trike, and have been transferred to your hotel, embrace this final opportunity to wander through the enchanting city, perhaps revisit your favourite sights or discover new hidden corners. Enjoy a farewell dinner in a cosy restaurant, reminiscing about the unforgettable experiences of your E-Trike adventure.

Day 6: Tour ends / Distance travelled: 0km
