Feeling adventurous? Take a delightful detour to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, a village where wine isn’t just a drink, it’s a way of life. Immerse yourself in the vineyards, clink glasses with locals, and savour the world-renowned tipple that bears the village’s name.
Finally, you arrive in Orange where the UNESCO-listed Roman Theatre whispers tales of gladiatorial battles and epic performances. Stand in awe of the Triumphal Arch of Orange, a monument that has stood tall for centuries.
But this journey isn’t just about ancient echoes. Savour delicious Provençal cuisine in charming cafes, browse local markets overflowing with colourful produce and lose yourself in the warm hospitality of the region.

Today, ditch the climbs and embrace a gentle glide as we leave Luberon National Park for the alluring Saint-Remy-de-Provence.
Our route meanders through Cavaillon, affectionately dubbed the “Melon Capital of Provence.” Indulge in the town’s unique charm, perhaps sampling its famed melons before continuing our relaxed journey.

But Saint-Remy’s treasures extend beyond its Van Gogh connection. Delve into charming squares buzzing with life, discover hidden gems in artisan shops, and savour delightful Provençal cuisine in sun-drenched cafes.
This day is your opportunity to unwind, explore, and connect with the essence of this historic village.
Day 6: Saint-Rémy-de-Provence to Arles / Distance travelled: 30km
Today’s E-Trike adventure winds through the heart of Provence, past quaint villages like the picturesque Fontvielle.
Step back in time to Alyscamps, an ancient, mysterious Roman necropolis. Immerse yourself in the eerie beauty of crumbling sarcophagi and towering cypress trees, a scene famously captured by Van Gogh in his “Alley at the Alyscamps.”
If you love panoramic views, consider a detour to Montmajour Abbey. Stand where Van Gogh stood, soaking in the breathtaking sweep of the landscape he immortalised in his works. As you continue, look for Les Antiques, a Roman mausoleum that inspired Van Gogh’s sketches and paintings.
Next stop: Arles, the vibrant city where Roman history collides with Van Gogh’s artistic spirit. Wander through the imposing Roman amphitheatre, where events are still hosted to this day. Explore the Roman theatre, or stroll through the Place du Forum, the lively heart of the city, and soak in the bustling atmosphere.
Trace Van Gogh’s footsteps at the amphitheatre, where he painted “Starry Night Over the Rhône” and seek out the cafe depicted in “The Terrace of the Café in the Evening.” Each corner you turn whispers of his artistry, inviting you to see Arles through his eyes.
